I’ve been taking a break from the website lately, but I’m doing fine! <\/p>\n

As the seasons changed, I saw cherry blossoms and lots of new growth in my normal circuit of spots that need regular marking. When I thrust my nose into the grass, I can see and smell the various insects eating new soft leaves. When I bark, everything dives for cover. Except for the spiders. My head tends to poke through a lot of spider webs and some of those disturbed spiders end up on my back until Dad brushes them off. Bees and snakes sometimes are around, so I have to be careful. When I was a younger dog, I got bitten on the nose by a snake. It is not an experience I want to repeat.<\/p>\n

On a recent walk, we were exploring a new path and I thrust my head into the depths of the grass. Dad called to me anxiously because he doesn\u2019t like it when I disappear on him. And there, in the middle of nowhere I put my superpower on display: I found a baseball where no baseball had a right to be. I came out of the brush holding my find aloft with pride. \u201cKoro, you are amazing! How do you find balls wherever we go?\u201d exclaimed Dad. When I see my Dad’s happy face, I’m happy too!<\/p>\n

Recently, my playmate is Maggie. She\u2019s a black lab too. She kind of looks up to me because I have been teaching her some of my skills. Together, we played in a rice paddy before planting. That is the best time because the dirt is very soft and muddy. Balls got thrown. Balls got chased. Maggie is still not very good at at getting them on the fly or on the bounce, but she’s improving little by little. <\/p>\n

Now the rice has been planted and the frogs have invaded the rice paddies. And, it’s getting hotter and hotter. Our Moms are planning to take us to my favorite river. I keep asking Mom when we are going and she keeps telling me \u201cwhen the rainy season is over.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the rainy season is over\u2026when the rainy season is over\u2026\u201d This is like Mom\u2019s magic phrase. I can\u2019t wait for the rainy season to be over.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
