In the latter half of September, the top of the rice plants finally begin to droop. This is like a Japanese greeting and the rice is saying, \u201chey Mr. Farmer, it is time to harvest me. Another sign that harvest season is here is the appearance of the red flower called cluster amaryllis<\/a>. (Mom is the one who knew the name. Dad just called it a red flower). I love this flower and every year, I pose so Dad can get a picture of me standing or sitting in front of them. Morning is best when the combination of the orange glow of the sunrise, and the golden shine of the matured rice makes these red flowers shine all the more brightly.<\/p>\n
