I\u2019m a people person\u2026grrr\u2026people dog, so there is nothing worse than when both Mom and Dad go out and leave me home alone. It\u2019s a lot of responsibility guarding our den all by myself.
If one of them leaves, I usually don\u2019t worry too much about it. If both of them leave, I\u2019ll admit, I get a little sad, but once that damn Roomba shuts up, I can usually get some quality sleep time in, while maintaining a high level of awareness for my guarding responsibilities of course!<\/p>\n

Still, I don\u2019t mind it too much when they leave because treats are involved. Here is how our goodbyes work. First, Mom or Dad stuffs some treats in what I call \u201cthe food bowl of frustration and annoyance.\u201d<\/p>\n

The treats get hidden, then I get taken out for a quick pee. When we get back home. I try to look sad, but really, I just want to get back inside, find my food, coax it out of the bowl it is in, and then nap (and maintain guard, of course). <\/p>\n
